The Chaminade Red Devils ended their rough run of games by going 3-0 this past week, moving their record from 4-4 to a very respectable 7-4.

The week started with the Red Devils taking on MCC rival Vianney. Chaminade came right out of the gate firing, clearly determined to end their losing streak. Goals by Cole Ross and Sean Green lifted the Red Devils to a 2-0 victory over the Griffins. However, senior goalkeeper Jack Carrow went down with an injury after he collided with a Vianney player. Fortunately, he is only reportedly out for 1-2 weeks, so will be back in time for the playoffs.

Next, Chaminade took on Parkway Central in a game where the Red Devils really got to experiment with new players. When Chaminade got a free kick 25 yards out of the goal, senior Jake Bisch wanted to show that he deserves more playing time. He stepped over the ball, ran forward and struck it into the top left corner. This goal would end up being the only one of the match, with the score ending 1-0.

Chaminade capped off their week playing SLUH for senior night. Once again, Chaminade came out strong, but just could not seem to get the ball in the back of the net. With 10 minutes to go in the match though, Mick Hanon put the ball in the back of the net with a nice pass across the box from Mikey Anthon. The game ended 1-0 and marked the first time Chaminade has gone undefeated in the MCC 2 years in a row in 20 years.

Chaminade has definitely gained a lot of confidence over the last week and are looking like the team that we expected them to be all season. Hopefully they can hold on, and continue this momentum into the playoffs.
