Hockey Season Heats Up

The Chaminade Hockey team has once again brought the heat to the school community. In the past few weeks, the Varsity Hockey team was able to prove its great potential this coming season through multiple astonishing pre-season games.

Although the team’s winning streak was broken by Kirkwood in a very close game of 2-1, Chaminade’s Varsity team easily defeated Vianney and Ladue in its recent games.

The team has a promising outlook, especially due to its starting goalie Luka Myller (‘23) who holds a #1 goalie title in the state of Missouri. Never to one’s surprise, Myller had also led his Club Hockey team (St. Louis AAA Blues U-18) to currently hold a #1 national rank.

One of the co-captains of the team, Jackson Machon (‘23), was able to put his excitement about the team’s potential into words:  “The Hockey team this year looks very strong. We have a line up of very strong offensive players, along with one of the greatest goalies in the state.  Although our game against Kirkwood could’ve ended on a better note, the past several games were able to account for our potential this year.”
