Chaminade’s football team has once again rung the victory bell. The team scored a victory with the score of 55-20 in its game against Fort Zumwalt North last Friday.

However, the team’s success was not pure luck. From an interview with a current junior of the football team, Lan Ngyuen ‘23, it is rather evident that the team has embodied one of the most iconic mottos: “no pain, no gain.”

When asked about the practices and lifting sessions he had to join, Lan simply said “miserable.” It was both physically and mentally challenging for him as practices barely left room for him to do his homework or get ready for school the next day.

Eventually, with the team’s collective effort, the accumulation of everyone’s “pain” granted the “gain” of the district championship title.

The next quest to clear is our game against Holt this Friday. The State Quarterfinals game would be another opportunity for the team to prove its worth.

Although Holt has one of the strongest offensive lines who could constantly make dangerous plays, Chaminade’s defense is solid enough to handle whatever flame they are about to fire.

It is with hope and prayer we support the team’s journey to the State Championship.
