The Chaminade Red Devils took on the Priory Rebels for the second time this year on Thursday. Chaminade came into the match with high hopes and aspirations to beat Priory, who they had not beaten in over three years.

Chaminade started the game strong with the ball on Priory’s half of the field for practically the entirety of the first half. A goal came right around ten minutes into the game, as Sean Green slotted the ball beautifully past the goalie. As well as the one goal, Chaminade had many other opportunities on net as well.

After the first half of the game, it was clear that Chaminade was done losing to Priory and intended to end the losing streak once and for all. Just like the first half, Chaminade dominated the second half with several opportunities on net, as well as a shot the hit off the post. Although the score ended at 1-0, the game was clearly controlled by the Red Devils more than the score showed.

The Red Devils game against St. Dom was cancelled on Monday due to rain, which means that their season will wrap up this Thursday at Rockwood Summit. Playoffs start Saturday at 1:30 where Chaminade will take on rival SLUH for the second time this year.
